Happy Friday! I hope everyone is ready for a holiday weekend! We are traveling to North Carolina this weekend, so it has been a whirlwind of last minute packing and preparing. In all the craziness, I decided I HAD to share this honey mustard recipe with you. I made this the other day as an interesting condiment for chicken and salads, and it disappeared so quickly. It’s the perfect blend of sweet from the honey and spicy from the mustard. The best part is that it you can easily scale this recipe up and down to fit your needs.
Honey (preferably local or organic)
Spicy Mustard of your choice (although the spice gets toned down a lot, so if you like honey mustard with a kick, pick a hot mustard)
1. In a clean bowl, mix together equal parts honey and mustard.
2. Add a splash of rice vinegar and blend. The vinegar give the mixture a thinner consistency and really brings the flavors together, so you only need a small amount. Judge based on consistency.
